Painted Quartzite Ball, Nutbury Moss, Dornock, Dumfries Museum, Scotland, November 2019.

An Iron Age relic of unknown purpose. The coloured rings are grey, red and green. Carving such hard material such as quartzite would have taken a long time. It may have been a gaming object or a heriditary status item.
